Allergy testing

We are excited about how easy it is to get testing done for Allergens. You don’t have to go thru the expense and pain of scratch testing. With just a little bit of your blood you can easily find out what makes you sneeze!

DO   YOU   HAVE   ALLERGIES?

• What Are Allergies?
Allergies are a result of the body’s increased sensitivity to common substances in the environment.  These substances are called allergens.  Allergens cause reactions when entering the body through the skin, by inhalation or by ingestion.  Wind blown pollens from grasses, weeds, trees, mold, animal hair, house dust and foods are all examples of allergens.

When an allergic person is exposed to an allergen, the immune system produces an antibody, called Immunoglobulin E (IgE).  It is the production of this antibody that eventually causes allergy symptoms; sneezing, runny nose, headaches, stomach cramps, joint pain and others.

ANY LAB TEST NOW® Partners with Spectrum Healthcare to Offer Allergy Testing

Allergic reactions are caused by an over-sensitive immune system. In person’s suffering from allergies, the immune system over-reacts to the presence of certain substances by releasing chemicals such as histamines. The release of these chemicals can cause any number of different symptoms in the individual, such as itching, hives, sneezing and rash.

In the past, the most effective way to test for allergies was through the use of skin testing such as a prick test. However, through our partnership with Spectrum Healthcare, we’re able to test for allergies using a simple blood test.

Who Can Benefit from Allergy Testing?

  • Anyone who has experienced allergic reactions to airborne or food-based allergens.
  • Parents of children who have experienced an allergic reaction or are concerned that their child may be allergic to certain foods.
  • Individuals aged 65+ who typically have weakened immune systems and are more prone to suffer allergic reactions.

Spectrum’s state of the art technology tests for more than 135 allergens in one comprehensive environmental and food panel. Additionally, each serum sample is tested for allergens in a client’s local environment using one of 12 regional testing panels.

Through our partnership with Spectrum Healthcare, we’re able to offer access to 4 different panels:

  1. Basic Panel
    • Tests for 45 environmental allergens and 46 food allergens - $249
  2. Expanded Food Panel
    • Tests for 90 different food allergens - $249
  3. Pediatric Panel
    • Tests for 32 environmental and food allergens - $199
  4. Combination Panel - $349

After testing, a report is generated indicating the result of each allergen tested. On the report, the reaction to each allergen is scored on a scale of 0-5 clearly indicating the individuals sensitivity to the different allergens.
